Using the Map Feature
The map feature can be used to create your own personal activity routes in your local neighbourhood or while you're travelling. By creating and saving a personal route, you can add the step count from this route to your total step count each time you complete this route.
You may also use the map feature to view local public routes. Only Site Administrators can create public routes and do so in order to promote local hiking, local walking, and local bicycle trails. To view these public routes, click on the name of the route below the header "Public Routes". You can also add steps from this public route by clicking on the "add" link in the route information box in the top right corner of the map feature. When the "Add Steps" pop-up window appears, choose a date, an activity from the dropdown menu and then click ok.
The maps feature is also used for challenges where you can view your individual or team progress. Only Site Administrators can create challenge maps. To view the challenge maps, click on the name of the challenge you wish to view below the "Challenges" header on the activity tracker page or click the Challenges tab on the main menu and select the challenge you wish to view in the list of challenges on that page. (To learn how challenge maps track your individual or team challenge progress, go to the Challenges section of this guide.)
Note: Users cannot edit or delete public or challenge routes, only personal routes.
