Team Steps Not Adding Up

Q: I’m a member of a team in a team activity challenge and our team steps do not appear to be adding up correctly.

A: Are you in an average steps team challenge? If you are in an average steps team challenge, the average steps of all team members' total steps is calculated, not the sum total of all steps from all team members, . For example, if you have 10 people in a team, and they all log 10,000 steps on one day, 10 people multiplied by 10,000 steps is 100,000 steps, divide 100,000 steps by 10 people, and you have the average team steps for that day of 10,000 steps.
