What does “My Progress” show?
“My progress” shows the steps you’ve taken today, the total steps you’ve taken since you began tracking steps on the site, and the total distance (km or miles) you’ve travelled with your total steps. Some sites also have a "Today's Calories" counter that counts the calories that you have burned that day based on the number of steps you've entered and the weight you entered in your profile page. If you did not fill out your weight on the profile page (or that field didn't appear on the profile page) this figure will be calculated based on a 150 pound (68 kg) person.
Note: If you filled out your stride length on your profile page (if it was asked), your stride length will be accounted for in the personal routes distance. (total kms/miles) Your stride length is also taken into consideration when you add steps from a pedometer and will be shown on the "My progress" widget on the user dashboard (and the activity tracker page) in the distance calculation. However, your stride length is not considered on challenge maps or in the challenge rankings calculations. (Challenge maps/rankings are still based on 1,320 steps per km or 2,120 steps per mile.
